Nissan Unveils EV36Zero – a £1bn Electric Vehicle (EV) Hub to Accelerate the Journey to Carbon Neutrality
On 1 July 2021, Nissan unveiled the Nissan EV36Zero, a £1 billion flagship Electric Vehicle (EV) Hub creating a world-first EV manufacturing ecosystem. Envision will build a new 9GWh-capacity gigafactory equipped with state of the art battery technology for this hub.
On 28 June, French President Emmanuel Macron is scheduled to unveil the agreements of a 2 billion euros ($2.4 billion) battery plant that Envision will be building in Douai, France. It will supply batteries to Renault SA electric vehicles, with a planned production of 24 GWh and 2,500 jobs created by 2030.
