Collaboration aims to create Singapore’s first fully integrated Net Zero Carbon Digital Building Suite to serve as the lighthouse project for establishing net zero carbon cities across the world

Singapore – 30 June 2021 – Envision Digital International Pte Ltd (“Envision Digital”), a global net zero partner and Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) technology leader with headquarters in Singapore, and ST Engineering have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly build an end-to-end net zero carbon urban infrastructure solution for the public and commercial sectors. The collaboration will see the two companies combine their strengths in digitalisation, AIoT and smart urban solutions to contribute to the Energy Reset initiative under the Singapore Green Plan 2030, from enabling greener commercial and industrial buildings to more sustainable towns and districts.

As part of the MOU, both companies will commit to six months of joint development to build a cloud-based, Integrated Net Zero Carbon Digital Building Suite that connects and facilitates real-time data flows across ST Engineering’s smart digital building solutions. These include connected IoT sensors for smart lighting and indoor daylight harvesting, integrated security management systems, smart car park platforms, advanced crowd detection systems and data-driven facility management systems.

Where the ongoing COVID-19 situation has resulted in workforce disruption and employee safety concerns, the solution’s remote and autonomous management capabilities will enable buildings to continue to be operated reliably, efficiently and safely without human intervention, allowing urban infrastructure owners to optimise resource and asset deployment and conduct predictive maintenance. The solution will also enable urban infrastructure owners to track their assets’ energy efficiency and carbon emissions over time, and easily orchestrate the use of power from smart renewable energy sources like rooftop solar, virtual power plants and electric vehicle (EV) charging points, to reduce reliance on electricity generated by fossil fuels.

With the aim to eventually export this solution overseas, Envision Digital and ST Engineering will not only support Singapore’s target of achieving its long-term net zero emissions goal, but will also align with Singapore’s recently announced Virtually Unlimited economic agenda to seize growth opportunities from the growing global demand for decarbonisation technology solutions.
